Festivals and lively events are well-attended in Poole, making it the perfect place to enjoy some of the calendar's favourite celebrations.Here are some of Poole's biggest events:
- Held on the beaches of Poole every Thursday between June and August is The Poole Summer Breeze. Superb entertainment in the form of firework displays, family activities, barbecues and live music keep the crowds coming back for more.
- At Poole Quay on Tuesday evenings from April to September is Crescent Dream Machines. This event sees a coming together of motorbike enthusiasts who show their bikes to the gathering crowds and judges of the 'Motorbike of the Year' competition.
- During the summer (normally at the end of June) is Bournemouth Live! music festival. The festival features open-air concerts by live bands that entertain the crowds at this music extravaganza.
- The summer months at Bournemouth's Lower Gardens see the well-attended Bournemouth Flowers by Candlelight. This event is held every Wednesday evening and involves many children lighting candles to transform the gardens into a night time spectacle.
- Bournemouth is also the site for summer fireworks displays. The best view is from the pier and beach, as fireworks are sent out over the sea. The event is held on Friday nights in the summer months.
