As can be expected from a city full of artists, thespian players and creative talent, there are many festivals celebrating the creative arts.Here are a few of the city's notable events:
- If you can brave the cold weather, then head for the Winter Carnival, held every January with performances by local legends and street parades.
- May Day Parade is held in coordination with The Heart of the Beast Puppet Theater and includes a parade through the city to Powderhorn Lake.
