The island is bursting with fiestas and festivities all year round, many with a distinct Spanish flavour.Feasting and drinking are the main features of most events, with costumes and parades also forming a large part. Highlights are:
- Revelta i Beneides de Sant Antoni Abat, held in mid-January, this event involves dancing and bonfires, while also showcasing a parade with beautiful costumes.
- Princess Sofia Trophy, this is the most important yachting regatta in the Balearic Islands, with participants from each of the islands.
- Dia de Virgen de Carmen, held in July, this event honours the patron saint of fishing boats and involves the blessing of fishing vessels and lively parades.
- Sant Ciriac, a feast remembering the Spanish recapture of the Balearic Islands, including food, drink and dance.
