Situated in a fairly isolated location, the Grand Canyon has an adequate, but fairly sedate calendar of events.Some of the most significant functions of the year include:
- The Grand Canyon Village holds a tribal dance event on the last Monday in May (Memorial Day).
- The Grand Canyon Chamber Music Festival takes place every September at the Shrine of the Ages, in Grand Canyon Village.
- Lake Powell is the host of the Annual Festival of Lights Boat Parade and the Peach Festival, held every August.
- Various rodeo and gunfight events take place during the year in the Williams area.
- Tusayan celebrates the Fourth of July with a patriotic parade.
