Glasgow maintains a busy events calendar with many exciting events held in and around the city.Some of the most notable annual events include:
- Hogmanay, 31st of December, celebrations are held throughout Glasgow to celebrate the arrival of the new year.
- West End Festival, two weeks of music and arts events are held during June in and around Glasgow.
- Glasgow International Jazz and Blues Festival is held in early July. At this event jazz players from around the world celebrate blues music in Glasgow.
- T in the Park, held in mid-July in nearby Perthshire; this is Scotland's largest music festival.
- Glasgay, held in late October or early November, a popular Glasgow gay performing arts festival.
