Information about Cambridge Festivals
Home to thousands of university students, it is no surprise that Cambridge has a busy calendar of events and festivals.Among the more notable events are:
- Cambridge Folk Festival, a combination of musical tastes, with everything from folk, American country, blues and gospel to Cajun, jazz and pop; this is an event sure to knock your socks off.
- Cambridge Fireworks Display, attracting more than 25,000 people a year, this is the biggest free firework display in the country, offering music, entertainment and an impressive bonfire.
- Summer in the City, held from June to September, a combination of events that take place in the city's parks including open-air concerts, stand-up comedians, family activities and much more.
- Straw Bear Festival, held in January, featuring concerts, storytelling, dancing and bear burning.
