In addition to world-class skiing, Aspen also plays host to a wide variety of unique and entertaining festivals and events, especially during the summer months.Some of the most popular Aspen festivals are:
- The ESPN Winter X-Games in late January. Held on Buttermilk Mountain, this event draws the best extreme skiers and snowboarders in the world.
- The US Comedy Arts Festival in late February. Performers from all over the country gather in Aspen for this hilarious showcase of comedy.
